About This Lesson
This two-part lesson plan introduces students to data analysis, computational thinking, and real-world problem-solving through NestMetrics, an owl-monitoring project. In the first lesson, students explore the NestMetrics website, analyze real-world owl observation data, and identify patterns and trends. In the second lesson, students apply what they've learned to brainstorm and design their own projects, using data and technology to address a question or problem they find interesting.
